The Israeli military launched a series of airstrikes early Thursday on Yemen’s Houthi-controlled capital, Sana’a, and the port city of Hodeida. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated that dozens of aircraft, including fighter jets, refuelers, and spy planes, participated in the operation, striking targets nearly 2,000 kilometers from Israel.
The strikes coincided with a ballistic missile fired by the Houthis toward central Israel, which was intercepted by Israel’s Arrow defense system. While no injuries were reported, falling shrapnel caused significant damage in Ramat Gan. This marks the second missile attack from Yemen this week, alongside a recent drone strike.
