Startup women’s basketball league Unrivaled announced it raised $28 million in a Series A funding round ahead of its inaugural season, bringing total 2024 funding to $35 million. The league will feature thirty-six top players and claims to offer the highest average salaries in women’s professional sports. It signed Under Armour as its official uniform partner and a multiyear media rights deal with Warner Bros. Discovery to air games. The league begins its inaugural season on January 17th.
