Bhim Kohli was seriously injured while walking his dog in Franklin Park in Leicester.A 12-year-old girl has been charged with manslaughter after a grandfather was attacked while walking his dog in a park near his home.Grandfather Bhim Kohli, 80, died in hospital after being seriously injured while in Franklin Park in Braunstone Town in September, Leicestershire Police said. The force said in a statement: “The girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with manslaughter and is due to appear at Leicester Youth Court sitting at Leicester Magistrates’ Court today.“A 15-year-old boy has already been charged with the murder of Mr Kohli.”The 15-year-old boy was charged with murder three days after Mr Kohli was injured and is due to appear at Leicester Crown Court later this week.A post-mortem examination previously confirmed he died as a result of a neck injury, pending further tests.Officers had arrested five people – a boy and a girl aged 14 and one boy and two girls aged 12 – on suspicion of murder but had previously said that four had been released with no further action.The father-of-three was remembered as the “joker of the family” by his loved ones as they tried to come to grips with “the most difficult time imaginable”.
