It is likely you have been blasting the central heating in recent days, leaving the house in more layers than usual, and having to scrape ice from the car before you travel.

It has been freezing in Glasgow with temperatures averaging below zero causing a white frost to line the plants and the pavements - so it may have been uncomfortable but at least it’s looked pretty.

If you’re looking to prepare for weekend plans, here is the weather forecast for Glasgow over the coming days.

Right now there’s a freezing fog though this is expected to clear with thicker clouds coming in which may give way to light showers.

On Friday 13 December it is expected to be dull earlier in the day with some patchy drizzle which will turn drier and brighter in the afternoon with a maximum temperature of 4 degrees Celsius.

It is then expected to warm up - the weather should turn increasingly mild.

Though it should be mainly dry and bright there may be some drizzle while it may turn breezy with outbreaks of heavy rain as Sunday turns to Monday.
