The Police Are Blundering in the Dark (1975), score 4.3. If my photo-model friend called me, scared, and begged me to come help her, and the next day she’s missing from her hotel, and I found her car in the parking lot, and the hotel manager says another woman is missing, I’d call the cops. If I then stayed the night at the eccentric photographer’s mansion, tried to sleep with the maid, learned the photographer’s wife was raping her niece, then had sex with that niece, the next morning I’d call the cops. The title of this film is very accurate because no one calls the cops until after the killer is caught. There’s blood and nudity, rarely one without the other. This isn’t so-bad-it’s-good, this is a train wreck that you can’t turn away from.
