An eight-year-old girl has been seriously hurt in a shooting in west London.The child and a man aged 34 were taken to hospital after they were shot in Southern Row, Ladbroke Grove, just after 5.30pm on Sunday, the Metropolitan Police said.Speaking near the scene of the shooting on Monday, Superintendent Owen Renowden revealed that a two-year-old child was also present in the car when the gunman opened fire, but the toddler was unhurt.The eight-year-old girl is in surgery, although her injuries are not life-threatening and she is in a stable condition.The 34-year-old man has suffered potentially life-changing injuries.Mr Renowden said that a 22-year-old has been arrested in relation to the incident and remains in custody.Witnesses can contact police on 101 giving the reference CAD5238/24NOV or contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or online to remain anonymous.
