Thirty-nine cases have been reported since September, resulting in fifteen hospitalizations and one death. The recall involves baby and whole organic carrots with best-by dates from September 11th to November 12th, sold under brands like Trader Joe’s, Wegmans, Sprouts, and Good & Gather. Grimmway Farms warns these products may still be in homes and urges disposal or return. E. coli symptoms typically appear 3-4 days after exposure, with children, seniors, and those with weakened immune systems at higher risk.
