The US Defense Department has unveiled an autonomous machine gun with neural networks - it can destroy drones without human involvement and without radar.

The American company Allen Control Systems (ACS) has developed the Bullfrog robotic unit for destroying UAVs. This 180-kilogram turret is equipped with an M240 machine gun with an effective range of up to 1.8 kilometers, an electro-optical sensor and an AI computer capable of detecting and tracking the target.

ACS notes that in modern conflicts, firing at small and maneuverable targets at altitude causes difficulties even for experienced shooters. Therefore, Bullfrog calculates all corrections independently, leaving the operator to confirm the shot, although this is not necessary.
