Protesters led by the Asian Peoples’ Movement on Debt and Development (APMDD), along with social justice and human rights groups, marched along Commonwealth Ave in Quezon City on October 26, 2024, to launch the International Peoples’ Tribunal (IPT).

Overseen by a panel of international economists, lawyers, and academics, the tribunal aims to hold the IMF and World Bank accountable for their alleged roles in fostering inequality and poverty in the Global South. This inaugural session in the Philippines will be followed by sessions in Nepal, India, Africa, and Latin America. (MB Video by Mark Balmores)
