Microsoft awarded CEO Satya Nadella more than $79 million for the 2024 fiscal year, a significant increase from $48 million in the previous year. The pay raise would have been over $5 million higher if not for a series of cyberattacks. Nadella requested that the cash incentive portion of his pay be reduced to reflect these security issues. Nadella stated that the company's focus would now prioritize cybersecurity efforts.
