Southern Water said it is ‘improving the sewer network’ in Lancing by ‘extending the rising main’ in Grinstead Lane. The water company say this will ‘increase capacity and prevent blockages’.

“Our teams are working to upgrade the sewer network in Lancing, including at Grinstead Lane where larger capacity pipework is being installed,” a spokesperson explained.

"We’re sorry for the disruption this work is causing the local community, but we would like to reassure customers that this is a vital project to improve our infrastructure for the benefit of those living in the area and for the environment.

“Traffic management has been put in place at Grinstead Lane – between the junctions of Crabtree Lane and Curvins Way – to ensure work is carried out as safely and quickly as possible.”
