http://www.jbyeo.org About James Brown Motivational Speaker, Youth Empowerment Speaker James Brown was shot in the neck at the age of 21, at a Drug Deal gone bad. Even after being shot and paralyzed, he continued to live a life of mediocrity, hanging out and drinking. He only began to change his attitude once he almost lost his life for a second time during a routine surgery. His life would change forever on August 18, 2002, when a lady he didn't know told him to go to Mount Patmos Baptist Church in Decatur, Georgia. Before Pastor Rucker began to preach his Sunday sermon, he said, "Let me go and speak to a friend of mine." Even though we had never met before, he walked right up to me and gave me the opportunity to share my testimony! After I spoke, the church gave me a standing ovation. I took that chance introduction as God sending me a message that sharing my testimony is what He wants me to do with my life. Now, that's just one of the things I do through James Brown Youth Empowerment Organization. Mission Statement James Brown Youth Empowerment Organization, Inc. is dedicated to effectively educating, encouraging and empowering children and young adults in the area of substance abuse, including alcohol and other controlled substances, gang intervention and life skills.
