Southern Steele - album Get on through 1974

2024-10-21 7

The only album released by Miami southern rock band Southern Steele. Their sound was obviously Southern rock sound but with a deep East Coast-West Coast attitude, bluesy grit, bad women, whisky, or hard livin' roadhouse action. After the album release they moved to Nashville in search of fortune but Spike and Orsini left the band. They entered into negotiations with a major label for the recording of the second album but they did not come to fruition and the label decided on another emerging group, The Outlaws, and this meant the end of the band.

Jim Goodman - 12-string guitar, acoustic guitar, bass, mandolin, vocals.
Spike Warner - guitar, slide guitar, vocals.
Ed Olszewski - guitar, bass, vocals.
Greg Orsini - drums.

San Francisco man.
24hours a day.
Me and you.
Where's the country gone.
One up for listening.
There's just you.
Days end.
The feeling.
Don't deny it.
