Filmmaker Edgar Wright will be arriving in Glasgow in November for his latest production - an adaptation of Stephen King’s The Running Man.
Filming will impact a number of city centre locations between the 10 and 24 November, at times prohibiting vehicle movements, loading and unloading on streets including Mitchell Street, Hope Street, Gordon Street and Rose Street.

The film will star Maverick and Twisters star Glen Powell in a thriller based on King’s dystopian novel.
Centred on the character Ben Richards, a desperate man who participates in violent reality show The Running Man in order to win money to revive his gravely ill daughter.
The book was previously adapted in 1987 by Paul Michael Glaser starring Arnold Schwarzenegger.
The new film is scheduled for release in November 2025.
Glasgow has proved an immensely popular location to shoot movies in recent years and has hosted the sets of 2022’s Batman, the 2023 Indiana Jones film and also next year’s Frankenstein.
