No tricks, all treats at annual Halloween parade for dogs in New York

The annual Tompkins Square Halloween Dog Parade returned to New York's East Village on Saturday, October 19, bringing together a diverse cast of characters from a furry little Cinderella to hip hop group Run-DMC, complete with some doggie bling.

Some dogs in hot dog suits and Yankees jerseys paid homage to New York City while others attempted to look like a totally different animal for the day.

The owner of one dog, named Gremlin, dressed it up as former Yankees player Derek Jeter and expressed his hopes that both New York teams would win their respective play-offs and have an all New York World Series, called a Subway Series.

Cleo, described by her owner as patient and "happy-go-lucky," was dressed as a serial killer.

Many dog owners joined their puppies in the fun and dressed up in matching costumes.

This year marks the 34th anniversary of the annual parade.
