The Welfare Department (JKM) has received 98 applications from parents, mostly mothers, seeking to retrieve around 200 children linked to the Global Ikhwan Services and Business Holdings (GISB) investigation as of Thursday (Oct 17), according to Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri.
The Women, Family and Community Development Minister added that authorities must first verify parental claims before releasing the children.
