Last week, the superyacht AKULA was moored in Plymouth’s harbour, near the Mayflower Steps. The vessel, registered in Bloody Bay, Cayman Islands, caught the attention of locals. Although some joked it resembled Count Dracula’s ship, AKULA is actually a research vessel built in Italy and launched this year. Its presence is a notable boost to Plymouth’s marine reputation.
