Angel Whispers is a 2015 Hong Kong murder, suspense, thriller, horror film directed by Carrie Ng Ka-lai (吳家麗) and Shirley Yung Sau-lan (翁秀蘭). The film stars Carrie herself as Lai, Kabby Hui Nga-ting (許雅婷) as Ching Ching and Sammy Hung Tin-chiu (洪天照) as Lung.
Sham Shui Po, there is the most famous red-light district in Hong Kong. Lai owns a few of the apartments in the building and she earns a living by renting them out to the ladies of pleasure.
To the ladies though, Lai is more a friend than just a landlord. She gathers the ladies and work as hard as they could, trying to attract more business to turn the tide. However, on the other hand, they are unaware that they are also concomitantly courting death.
It begins with the disappearance of a lady of pleasure, Ping (Itthaphat Natthachirakun). Ping is one of the tenants who live with her young daughter. In the process of finding Ping, Lai discovered there had been a number of disappearance of the ladies in this building, yet none of them were found. The building was somehow isolated from the outside world and a massacre begins. Lai and the ladies have to locate Ping and to fight a battle of wits with the unknown murderer. As more evident of the murderer's identity revealed, a tragic truth hidden for over twenty years starts to unveil.
