Ulla grew up in Germany until the age of fourteen, when her mother, who was a waiter in a third-rate restaurant, was forced for economic reasons to send her to Russia by alleged relatives of her husband, who lived in Tallinn and enrolled Lindstrom at the Ballet Academy in Leningrad, where she had extraordinary success and was sent with a group of dancers on a tour through the countries of the Iron Curtain, dancing in front of Tito Broz in Yugoslavia and in front of the President of the Polish Republic in Versailles. She also worked as a model for the magazine Penthouse Pets and is considered, together with Brigitte Bardot, the first reincarnation of female sexuality. In 1978 she received Swedish nationality.
