Apple has withdrawn from negotiations to participate in OpenAI's recent funding round, according to reports. Microsoft and Nvidia are still in talks to invest, with Microsoft expected to contribute around $1 billion on top of the $13 billion it has already invested. Thrive Capital is leading the funding round, and other participants may include Tiger Global Management and UAE-backed MGX. OpenAI is also restructuring from a nonprofit to a for-profit entity, driven by investor influence.
