Bollywood actor Anupam Kher reacted with surprise and amusement upon discovering that counterfeit currency notes, valued at approximately INR 1.6 crore, were found in Gujarat with his face on them. In a video that has gone viral, Kher's photo can be seen appearing on INR 500 notes, replacing that of Mahatma Gandhi. The fake currency was seized by Ahmedabad police. Additionally, the notes displayed the name 'Resole Bank of India' instead of 'Reserve Bank of India.' Anupam Kher shared the video with the caption, “My photo instead of Gandhiji’s photo on Rs 500 notes???? Anything can happen.” According to reports, the counterfeit notes were discovered after a bullion firm owner was scammed for a similar amount. A case has been filed against unidentified individuals in the state.
