On September 20, the new smart Elf #5 model officially launched its pre-sale. The pre-sale price starts at 245,000 yuan.
In terms of design, the new Smart Elf #5 follows the Mercedes-Benz global design team's "Emotional and Sharp" design philosophy, and adopts a boxy design with a circle in a square, which not only has an outdoor adventure style, but also maintains an urban atmosphere. The car offers three new color combinations, including amber brown, stealth green and swamp gold. In addition, the car also features Cyberlight front-type LED matrix headlights consisting of 328 LED lamp housings and ultra-red three-dimensional suspension LED taillights with 252 ultra-red LED lamp housings.
In terms of functionality, the new Smart Elf #5 offers a variety of equipment specially designed for travel. The X-shaped painted roof platform, which can carry approximately 500 kilograms of load, adopts a modular design and can accommodate various outdoor equipment. The original crater-shaped luggage rack has a static load capacity of 240 kg and a dynamic load capacity of 100 kg. The hidden electric tow hook complies with C6 qualification regulations and has a towing capacity of 1.6 tons. The integrated lidar system combines ultra-long-range lidar and roof projectors, providing a maximum illumination distance of 47 meters.
In terms of space design, the new Smart Elf #5 has a wheelbase of 2900 mm, providing a spacious interior. The rear knee room reaches 400+ mm and the longitudinal room reaches 2458 mm. The vehicle also provides 34 smart storage spaces throughout the vehicle, including a 72-liter front trunk and a 110-liter hidden luggage storage space.
In terms of interior, it uses soft packaging materials. Italian Alpine oak veneers are incorporated into the interior. This is the first time that smart has integrated wood elements into the interior design. The overall soft-covered area of the car exceeds 20 square meters, of which the armrest area is 100% soft-covered. The seats are made of Nappa leather, which has undergone a 68-stage tanning and dyeing process.
