King Midas lived in a grand castle. He loved gold more than anything. His rooms overflowed with golden statues. Chests of gold coins lined the hallways. Every day, King Midas counted his treasures. He dreamed of even more gold filling his castle. He believed gold made him happy. More than anything, he wished everything he touched would turn to gold. One sunny afternoon, a magical fairy appeared in King Midas' room. She granted him a wish as a reward for his kindness to a lost satyr. The fairy listened to King Midas' greatest desire.
