Welcome to the latest in our series of classic movies where we test a selection of AI tools to enhance famous cinematic moments.
In this video we take a look at the 1958 gothic horror movie Dracula directed by Terence Fisher. In the United States the film was renamed to the Horror of Dracula in order to avoid confusion with the Bela Lugosi's 1931 film of the same name.
The 1958 film features Christopher Lee in his first appearance as the terrifying Count Dracula, with Peter Cushing as Doctor Van Helsing.
The film is one of seven Dracula productions starring Christopher Lee that emerged from Hammer Film Productions, with Peter Cushing also making numerous appearances in the Dracula series and many other Hammer Horror movies.
Based on the novel by Bram Stoker, the film sees English Lawyer Jonathan Harker journey to Castle Dracula in Transylvania to complete a real estate transaction with Count Dracula, but all is not what it seems as we get introduced to the dark world of vampires.
With the help of AI software, we can now bring some of the iconic scenes from this movie up to 4K resolution, bringing a fresh look to famous cinematic moments.
So sit back and enjoy our upscaled tribute to this classic movie and leave your thoughts on the quality of these AI enhancements and any suggestions for other films to upscale, in the comments.
