Marie's spine-chilling footage captures a rare moment when Platanias, Greece is far from an ideal tourist destination.
"A wildfire broke out near Minoa Palace Resort," Marie told WooGlobe. "Firefighting helicopters were deployed to extinguish the flames. News reporters were on site to cover the entire event."
It's nothing short of terrifying to see tourists alarmingly close to the thick plumes of smoke billowing from the fire.
The brave firefighters in the helicopters work tirelessly, pouring water over the intense flames to prevent the fire from spreading further.
