A final farewell for a man credited with laying the foundations of the Northern Territory's cattle industry. Tom Stockwell – Pastoralist: He was and will forever remain a hero of our cattle community, the NT, and beyond, he truly deserves his exalted status amongst the legends and leaders of the North Hundreds gathering at the Darwin convention centre to pay their respects Damien Bowen – Brother: We have read and heard many seen many tributes to Luke, recalling his courage, determination and humour, and his ability to relate to people and provide leadership when it was needed. that is how our family remembers him as an infant, a small boy, a teenager, and as he grew to a young man His son describing a loving father who showed respect for people from all walks of life Jourdan Bowen – Son: There is so much I wish I could tell him. I love you, thank you, and I am proud of you. A man of integrity, a man I revered. Following the 2011 live cattle export ban, Mr Bowen was the public face of the Northern Australian Cattle Industry, tasked with rallying producers left without a livelihood, and rebuilding public trust in the sector, winning hearts and minds across the country.
