Juan Juan Xu had a playful idea to surprise the baby.
He grabbed a tape dispenser and carefully pulled out a piece of tape, causing the tiny tot to panic.
The baby thought Juan was going to tape his mouth shut, leading to a burst of tears.
Luckily, Grandpa was quick to step in and offer comfort, reassuring the little one.
In reality, Juan was simply sticking the tape on a shopping bag.
