Protesters arrested near US election debate venue
Police officers arrested some protesters who marched in the streets of Philadelphia on Tuesday (September 10) during the first presidential debate between Democratic presidential nominee, Kamala Harris, and Republican presidential nominee, Donald Trump.
The nationally televised debate is occurring just eight weeks before the Nov. 5 election, and days before early voting will start in some states.
Before the debate, Trump stated he will highlight the left-wing policies Harris advocated in her 2020 presidential run, contrasting them with her more centrist positions now.
Harris, according to campaign advisers, plans to focus on Trump's history of dishonesty and her proposals to reduce Americans' everyday expenses.
