Two US Marines from USS Wasp were attacked in Izmir, Turkey by members of the nationalist Youth Union of Türkiye. Protestors Chanted, 'You have Palestinian blood on your hands' showing deep objection to U.S involvement with Israel amid Gaza war. The incident, involving attackers placing a sack over a Marine's head, was quickly addressed by Turkish authorities who detained 15 suspects. While the Marines were unharmed.
