पाछी उड़ा गगन को, धड़ रहा परदेस,
पानी पीवे चोंच बिन, भूल गया वा देस
~ गुरु कबीर साहेब
(The swan flew up the unknown skies, free from her gross form. Beakless, she drank water there, forgetting her earthly home)
~ Guru Kabir Saheb
How to understand the following poem by Guru Kabir Saheb?
“I said to the wanting creature inside me,
What is this river you want to cross?
There are no travelers on the river road, and no road.
DO you see anyone moving about on that bank?
There is no river at all.
And no boat and no boatman.
There is no towel rope either and no one to pull it.
There is no ground, no sky, no time, no bank, no fort, and there is no body, and no mind.
Do you believe that there is some place,
that will make the soul less thirsty?
And in that great absence,
You will find nothing.
Be strong then and enter your own body.
There you have a solid place for your feat.
Think about it carefully. Don’t go off somewhere else. .
Who is the beloved, saints sing of?
Who is Guru Kabir and how to understand his teachings?
What is ego and what is its deepest desire?
How to understand the following couplet by Kabir Saheb?
Do you think there is still an unthirsty place?
