MAN POURED SCALDING HOT COFFEE OVER INFANT

Police are searching for a man who poured scalding hot coffee over an infant boy, causing severe burns to 60% of his body.
The incident occurred at just after midday on Tuesday the 27th of August. The nine-month-old child was with his family at Hanlon Park in Stones Corner Queensland Australia, sitting on a picnic rug, when an unknown man approached them from behind and poured hot coffee from a thermos over the child before fleeing the scene.
The infant was taken to hospital with severe burns to his chest, face and arms.
Police described the attack as callous, cowardly, deliberate and unprovoked, "almost like an ambush".
Police have released images and surveillance footage of a man seen running away from the scene of the incident and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
