This milestone makes Berkshire the first non-tech U.S. company to reach this valuation, although Saudi Aramco holds the global title. Berkshire Hathaway took 44 years to reach a $1 trillion market valuation. The company's Class A shares began trading in 1980 and are now trading just below $700,000. Meta was the fastest U.S. company to reach a $1 trillion market valuation. It achieved this milestone in the summer of 2021, just nine years after going public in 2012.
