This is the moment the wife of World Cup winner Lautaro Martínez saved their toddler son's life after a large mirror in their home nearly fell on him.
Security footage from inside Martínez's home showed his one-year-old son Theo tottering into a walk-in wardrobe. The toddler was seen walking to a mirror at the end of the room, before smacking it several times.
The mirror then began leaning over, and Theo was seen looking back in fear. But the hero, sensing her child was in danger, was seen sprinting toward her son and catching the mirror before it completely fell on him, avoiding a potentially nasty accident.
She then leaned it back against the wall and scooped her baby son up in the safety of her arms.
The 28-year-old Argentine wrote: 'Theo almost gave me a heart attack.'
According to the timestamp on the video, the video was taken at around 9:40 am on August 26. Theo turned one on 7 August.
Martínez wrote at the time: 'Happy birthday, our love, our little whirlwind. Thank you for brightening our days together with your sister.
'I only wish for you both to be happy and healthy. We love you so, so much.'
Martínez and Gandolfo - an entrepreneur and fitness trainer - tied the knot at the Renaissance Villa d'Este on the shores of Lake Como, Italy, in May 2023.
Martínez won Italy's Serie A last season with his team Inter Milan. He was the season's top scorer, with 24 goals.
He also won this year's Copa América with Argentina and was the tournament's top scorer, scoring five goals. The striker won the 2022 World Cup with his nation.
