Malaysian prosecutors have brought sedition charges against former Malaysian Prime Minister and current opposition leader, Muhyiddin Yassin, after the circulation of a video in which he allegedly insults the former king. The colonial-era sedition law is occasionally used to charge those who are perceived to have insulted the monarchy.
