Superyacht survivors realise there is little hope of finding friends alive, says doctor
Mike Lynch, the businessman once described as “Britain’s Bill Gates”, and his 18-year-old daughter are missing after a superyacht sank in a freak tornado off the coast of Sicily on Monday morning.
One person has been confirmed dead and six people are missing including Lynch and his daughter Hannah, who completed her A-levels this summer.
Lynch, the technology entrepreneur, is believed to have amassed a fortune of about £500 million. His wife, Angela Bacares, was rescued.
