There were no casualties reported in Israel. According to the Israeli military, one rocket fell into the sea and the other did not reach Israeli territory. Hamas claimed responsibility for the rockets, stating that the attack was a response to what they described as Zionist atrocities against civilians and the forced displacement of Palestinians.

Israeli airstrikes hit various locations in the Gaza Strip, killing 19 people. In Deir Al-Balah, a strike killed six individuals, including a mother and her twin newborns. Another strike in Al-Bureij camp resulted in seven deaths. Additional strikes in the Al-Maghazi camp and Rafah, as well as a house in Sheikh Radwan neighborhood, resulted in several more fatalities.

The Israeli military reported targeting Palestinian gunmen and dismantling military infrastructure in Khan Younis, locating weapons and explosives in Rafah, and striking rocket launchers and sniper posts in central Gaza. Both the Israeli military and Palestinian factions, including Islamic Jihad and Hamas, are engaged in fighting across various areas of Gaza.

The U.S. expects that ceasefire talks scheduled for Thursday will proceed as planned, with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken set to visit Qatar, Egypt, and Israel for discussions. The Israeli government will send a delegation to finalize the details of the proposed agreement.

Hamas has insisted on the implementation of the proposal presented by U.S. President Joe Biden in May, rather than further negotiations. A Hamas official clarified that the group’s position is not about attending more talks but about moving forward with the implementation of the proposal.

The conflict began on October 7 when Hamas fighters attacked Israel, resulting in 1,200 Israeli deaths and the capture of approximately 250 hostages. The ongoing Israeli offensive has led to nearly 40,000 Palestinian deaths, widespread devastation in Gaza, and significant displacement of the population.

In Deir Al-Balah, one of the most densely populated areas in Gaza, many residents are calling for a ceasefire. Ghada, a mother of six, expressed her despair over the ongoing war, hunger, and displacement she has endured.
