North Korean leader Kim Jong Un oversaw the delivery of 250 new tactical ballistic missile launchers to front-line troops during a ceremony in Pyongyang. State media have described the launchers as a modern tactical attack weapon personally designed by Kim and ready to be transferred to Korean People’s Army units on the border with South Korea. South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff said the new missile launchers could threaten South Korea if deployed near the border due to their short range. In a speech, Kim blamed the US for creating a "nuclear-based military bloc" that forced North Korea to strengthen its military capabilities further.
