The Russian Defence Ministry says they scrambled a fighter jet (Su-27) to escort three British planes (two Typhoon fighter jets and an RC135 reconnaissance plane) over the Black Sea.
The ministry says the British planes turned away from the Russian border on the approach of the Russian fighter plane.
