World 'not on track to end AIDS by 2030,' say experts at International AIDS Conference
"The world is not on track to end AIDS by 2030," says Winnie Byanyima, executive director of UNAIDS, speaking at a press conference at the start of the 25th International AIDS Conference in Munich. Byanyima's assessment comes despite some progress being made, with "77 percent" of people living with HIV now on treatment, compared with just "47 percent" in 2015.
