Protesters blocked from going to SONA venue
Police block the northbound lane of Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City where militants, led by the Kilusang Mayo Uno (KMU), are gathered for President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s 3rd State of the Nation Address (SONA), which he will deliver at the Batasang Pambansa Complex nearby on July 22, 2024. They claimed that the true state of the nation were, among others, the low wages and policies of repression against workers and unionists who assert their rights and welfare.
