In somber news from Vietnam,
Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong has passed away at the age of 80.
A state funeral will be held on July 25th and 26th,
honoring his life and service to the nation.
The late leader will lie in state at the National Funeral Home in Hanoi,
where the public can pay their respects.
On July 26th, a memorial ceremony will take place,
followed by his burial at Mai Dich Cemetery.
During these two days of national mourning,
flags will fly at half-mast across Vietnam,
and public entertainment will be suspended.
General Secretary Trong's passing marks the end of an era in Vietnamese politics.
