Three days after an assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump at a rally, the 20-year-old shooter remains an enigma with no clear motive discovered. The FBI investigation has found the shooter had few online footprints or strong political views that would suggest why he targeted Trump. Over 100 interviews also did not reveal a motive. The shooter was described as a loner in high school who kept to himself but was not seen as dangerous. He obtained an engineering degree recently but had no criminal record or history of violence. He practiced at a gun range the day before with the rifle used in the attack.
