A Queensland state MP is stepping down after being diagnosed with an incurable brain disease. The member for Ipswich West Darren Zanow has microvascular ischemic disease a condition often associated with the elderly. It leads to a build up of plaque and changes in the brain signalling the early onset of dementia.
