@Gocciedimemoria Alitha Getty, born Talitha Dina Pol (Modjokerto, 18 October 1940 – Rome, 11 July 1971), was a Dutch actress and model. She is known for her photo shoot taken in 1967 in her home in Marrakech (Morocco) by Patrick Lichfield for his book The Most Beautiful Women. She worked as a model for Yves Saint Laurent, becoming one of the fashion house's favorites. During a party organized by Claus von Bülow in 1965 she met her future husband, the American philanthropist and magnate John Paul Getty Jr., with whom she married at the Campidoglio in Rome on 10 December 1966. In July 1968 she had a son with him, Tara Gabriel Galaxy Gramophone , and shortly thereafter decided to retire from cinema. In April 1970 he appeared on the cover of Vogue. She died at just thirty years old, from an overdose of heroin and barbiturates, on 11 July 1971 in Rome, in an apartment in Piazza d'Aracoeli. Her body was initially buried in the Verano cemetery and later, at the request of her family, moved to the Dorpskerk Begraafplaats cemetery in Wassenaar, the Netherlands.
