A group of human smugglers in Taiwan involved in a case that left three people dead have been sentenced to life imprisonment. The Shilin District Court found the ringleader, surname Du, guilty of over 300 criminal counts, including leading a crime syndicate, kidnapping, torture, forced drug abuse and fraud.
