A first-time mum says her nanny cam was used to prove she was innocent after her baby stopped breathing while being breastfed.
Mum Ushma Kansara, 33, was left with post-natal depression after four-day-old Amara stopped breathing - and now still “can’t be left alone” with her.
Unable to breath for several heart-wrenching minutes, dad Harshil, 36, a service engineer, had to perform CPR on the tiny baby before she was rushed to hospital.
Doctors said Amara may have stopped breathing due to an 'unsafe swallow' which may have caused her to choke.
And while nobody was to blame, protocol meant the police had to look into the incident at the hospital - although there was not an "investigation".
Thankfully officers were able to confirm there were no safeguarding concerns due to a baby camera which had audio of the couple's conversation, CPR attempts and 999 call.
But Ushma says the experience left her shaken and afraid her daughter would be taken away.
