Returning to Polly Mountain, Tails discovers a hidden pathway and soon meets Speedy, the son of the grand Kukku leader. After a fierce confrontation, Speedy relinquishes one of the Chaos Emeralds before retreating back to the hidden battle fortress.
Thanks to the Remote Robot's ability to transform into the Sea Fox submarine, Tails ventures out to Lake Rocky, the first of several times he will do so during his adventure. The only path available at this point leads directly to the mysterious Cavern Island, a small unexplored landmark just northeast of Cocoa Island...
