Japanese scientists have used human cells to create living skin that can be attached to a robot.
The University of Tokyo researchers released footage of a gooey-looking pink material being stretched into an unsettling grin and a 3D mold covered in the living skin.
It is hoped that this will one day lead to robots with human-like appearances.
