In West Bengal, appeals for justice directed to the Honourable President, Prime Minister, Home Minister, and Governors are often rerouted to state authorities under constitutional pretexts. This inadvertently alerts local police and district administrations, frequently compromised by land sharks. The ground reality swiftly changes, such as ponds being filled with black sand at night, later deemed suitable for multi-storey buildings. Despite soil and water tests confirming these changes, no complaints or witnesses emerge, even when emergency lanes to hospitals are blocked by loud programmes late at night.
Senior women face harassment without witnesses, while those with political backing remain untouched. For instance, a senior lady was stalked for six months by an apartment night guard and a renter. Opposition leaders protesting against injustices receive central government protection, unlike ordinary citizens who suffer without support. Even retired government employees find their wards labelled as psychics despite numerous certificates and media coverage.
Misuse of power is rampant, with apartment maintenance records disappearing after October 2006 and situations manipulated to benefit certain individuals. Basic services, like lift operation, remained unreliable until 2019, impacting residents, especially seniors and the physically handicapped.
This systemic corruption and exploitation have demotivated and distracted our son, impacting his focus and opportunities. The retirement of family parents has been similarly ruined. This ongoing situation reveals a broader issue of injustice and lack of protection for common people in Bengal.
Accountability and compensation for those affected are paramount to restore justice and integrity.
