The Energy Minister is questioning the equity and fairness of new carbon reduction trade measure being implemented by the European Union.
He is expressing the Government's concerns that it could have a serious impact on the commercial viability of this country's natural gas based exports to Europe such as ammonia and methanol.
Those concerns had been expressed by one of the major producers of those exports in this country.
